CBN, the Hot New Cannabinoid | Bona Voluntate

True, CBD and THC garner the most attention. After all, the majority of cannabinoid products are labelled as CBD oil rather than “cannabinoid oil” or any of the other 100-plus cannabinoids identified in the Cannabis sativa plant. But what about all the other cannabinoids that are commonly found in popular topicals and edibles?

Take CBN Isolate Bulk, for example. It’s been around as long as CBD and THC, but it hasn’t received nearly as much attention. Perhaps this is due to a lack of human studies? Or because it’s impossible to grow a CBN-rich hemp strand.

We believe this is because many people are unaware of what CBN Isolate Bulk is or what it does. CBN is, after all, only one of approximately 100 cannabinoids contained in the Cannabis sativa plant. So, what makes it so unique? Today, we’ll address all of these concerns, as well as others, such as:

  • What exactly is CBN?
  • Why has CBN gained popularity so quickly?
  • Where does it originate?
  • Can CBN be used to help you sleep?
  • How does CBN affect your body?

What Exactly Is CBN?

The CBN cannabinoid, also known as cannabinol, is one of over 100 cannabinoids present in the Cannabis sativa plant that may aid in relaxation and sleep improvement by adjusting your sleep schedule. Despite its popularity with CBD and THC, CBN Isolate Bulk was one of the first cannabinoids discovered and studied by scientists.

Cannabinol occurs naturally as the Cannabis sativa plant ages, but is only readily discernible in older hemp plants, unlike some of the other cannabinoids generated from the plant. Because CBN is created by decomposing THC, the levels of CBN Isolate Bulk only grow as the plant ages. CBN can also be produced by heating or exposing THC to oxygen after it has been removed from the plant.

Despite its origins, cannabinol does not have the same intoxicating characteristics as THC and was approved in the 2018 Farm Bill to be produced, sold, and consumed alongside CBD. With less than a quarter of THC’s potency, CBN is only minimally psychoactive and will not generate the same “high” as products containing more than the federally permitted quantity of THC (0.3 percent).

So, how does CBN come to be? And, since it’s been around for so long, why is it only now gaining traction in the CBD industry? Both of those responses, it turns out, involve the same compound: THC.

CBN is formed as a result of oxidation

The process by which a product or component is chemically mixed with oxygen is known as oxidation. This method involves removing hydrogen atoms from one substance in order to create a new product. Similar to how metal rusts.

Consider the molecular structures of CBN Isolate Bulk and THC, which are nearly identical. Except for the four hydrogen atoms lost during oxidation, which resulted in the formation of CBN. CBN, a much milder version of THC, is one of the most potent cannabinoids for promoting relaxation and sleep.

CBN contains no THC, regardless of its source. With the loss of those hydrogen atoms, CBN evolved into its own chemical structure, with none of the same intoxicating effects. And, because CBN Isolate Bulk is formed when THC degrades, it’s only natural that as hemp ages, it has more and less THC.

CBN Isn’t just fashionable; it’s here to stay

Because of its relationship to THC and relative ambiguity as a cannabinoid, CBN is expected to start trending on the market today. CBN, on the other hand, plays a significant part in the entourage effect since it can bind to both cannabinoid receptors.

CBN, CBD’s less well-known cousin, is dubbed “the sleepy cannabinoid” since it is the primary cannabinoid responsible for encouraging relaxation and aiding in the achievement of better sleep at night. That’s why we’ve always included it in our excellent broad spectrum CBD formula and didn’t hesitate to add it in our new line of full spectrum CBD products.

Oh, and did we mention that when mixed with melatonin in our award-winning CBD PM for sleep recipe, you’re practically assured a restful night’s sleep? Because what is more important than waking up rested and ready to face the day? Especially when a lack of sleep and an erratic sleep routine has been related to a variety of health issues.

Of course, if you’re familiar with CBD and the other popular cannabinoids found in our broad spectrum CBD and full spectrum CBD products, you’re probably aware of CBN’s remarkable properties. We’ve always incorporated CBN Isolate in all of our products at Bona Voluntate, and we presumably will continue to do so.

Despite its current popularity, we’ve known for a long time what utilising CBN for sleep could achieve, as well as all the other incredible benefits you may get from its soothing effects. Although more research is needed on the matter because CBN cannabinoid studies are still lagging behind those of CBD and THC.

But we do know that CBN interacts with your body via cannabis receptors in the endocannabinoid system, affecting your hormones, immunological system, central nervous system, and so much more.

Endocannabinoid System (ECS)

Your endocannabinoid system, or ECS, is a complex network that your body uses to attain and maintain health and wellness. Wholesale CBN Isolate and other cannabinoids can only interact with your body because of the endocannabinoid system. But the ECS accomplishes more than that. Every vertebrate, including mammals, has an endocannabinoid system that aids in system regulation.

The primary function of the endocannabinoid system is to assist your body in maintaining homeostasis, or a stable internal condition required for living. This entails balancing your mental and bodily responses to internal and external stimuli. In other words, the ECS tries to maintain your mood, stress levels, and heart rate when something around you changes.

This is known as negative feedback, and it is the mechanism by which your body stabilises itself in reaction to change. This basically means that your internal workings will remain constant unless something happens that causes your body to raise or lower its functions in order to return to its neutral, ideal condition.

Although many researchers are currently investigating the endocannabinoid system’s numerous complexity, we now know that the ECS is not just linked to the brain and nervous system, but also to your skin, bone, tissue, and a variety of other biological structures. But how is this all possible? What does this have to do with cannabinoids such as CBD and CBN?

Receptors for Cannabinoids

The endocannabinoid system now has two types of cannabinoid receptors that allow it to function at its current level. And they’ve been suitably and creatively termed cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1) and cannabinoid receptor 2 (CB2) (CB2). Both receptors have diverse roles and work in various parts of your body, but they do share some functions, such as influencing your immune system.

The primary function of a cannabinoid receptor is to relay information to the interior of your cells about changes in your health and wellness in order to preserve homeostasis. This is accomplished by utilizing endocannabinoids or phytocannabinoids, both of which are responsible for activating your cannabinoid receptors.

Endocannabinoids are spontaneously synthesized within your body on an as-needed basis and have a short half life, making it difficult for scientists to examine them. Phytocannabinoids, on the other hand, are generated naturally from plants such as Cannabis sativa. CBD and Wholesale CBN Isolate, for example, are phytocannabinoids that work with cannabinoid receptors to activate specific elements of the endocannabinoid system.

CB1 receptors are primarily found in the brain and spinal cord of the central nervous system (CNS), with a few scattered throughout the rest of the body. These receptors assist in the regulation of activities such as motor activity and coordination, short-term memory, hunger, and pain perception.

CB2 receptors, on the other hand, have a broader scope. They have an impact on your skeletal muscle, cardiovascular system, digestive health, and even your reproductive system. They are found mostly in the peripheral nerve system (PNS).

CBD often connects to your body’s CB2 receptors, whereas THC frequently binds to your CB1 receptors, allowing it to more easily influence your central nervous system. Wholesale CBN Isolate, on the other hand, is known to bind to both CB1 and CB2 receptors.

But what happens when you combine more than one cannabinoid, such as CBD, CBN, CBC (cannabichromene), and CBG (cannabigerol)?

Full Spectrum CBD Has an Entourage Effect

Now that you’ve learned about cannabinoid receptors and how they work within the endocannabinoid system, you should be able to explain what the entourage effect is and how to get it using broad spectrum and full spectrum CBD. The fact that different cannabinoids can interact with one another, amplifying the benefits of broad spectrum or full spectrum CBD, is a big part of what makes the entourage effect so interesting.

The entourage effect occurs when you utilize more than one cannabis at the same time. These cannabinoids operate together to enhance each other’s therapeutic effects, resulting in higher benefits than if you utilized a single cannabinoid.

So, Does Every CBD product induce the Entourage Effect? Not Quite

We refer to our products as broad spectrum or full spectrum since they include either a broad range or the whole range of cannabinoids. Other CBD products, on the other hand, may be created from CBD isolation and hence include nothing else. However, the entourage effect outcomes will differ between our broad spectrum CBD and full spectrum CBD products.

Why?

Because our full spectrum CBD products include the highest concentration of phytocannabinoids, flavonoids, terpenes, and essential oils found in the Cannabis sativa plant. Yes, THC is included. Despite the fact that our full spectrum CBD formula contains less than the legal quantity of THC (0.3 percent), we claim that our broad spectrum CBD products are THC-free. That THC isn’t going to get you high; it’s just enough to get the complete entourage effect going.

So, no, THC is not required to reap the benefits of the entourage effect. The addition of a trace amount of THC only slightly increases the strength of the entourage effect.

Bona Voluntate and CBN

As previously stated, we include the Wholesale CBN Isolate cannabinoid for sleep and the development of general relaxation in all of our medicines, whether broad spectrum or full spectrum. We do this not simply to provide you with the most benefits from the entourage effect, but also because without CBN, our CBD oil would be unable to provide you with such a diverse range of benefits in a single package.

If you’re new to CBD oil products and aren’t sure where to start, we recommend starting with one of our superior broad spectrum CBD formula’s lower dosages, such as our regular CBD oil tincture. Or perhaps you’d like to try something a little more exciting (and tastier). In that situation, our premium CBD gummies may be the finest option.

Both of which we recommend using for at least 30 days before changing the frequency or concentration of CBD. Whatever you select, keep in mind that you should always see your doctor before beginning a new daily supplement regimen. Even if you don’t have any present health issues, it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
